Fed holds rates steady at March meeting

The Federal Open Markets Committee (FOMC) has decided to keep the target federal funds rate steady at 5.25 to 5.50 percent at its March meeting.

B Capital, a global multi-stage investment firm, has closed its B Capital Opportunities Fund II with $750 million, nearly doubling the size of its predecessor, B Capital Opportunities Fund I. The Fund received strong participation from both existing and new investors and represents a diverse global base of well-known private and public pensions, family offices, high-net-worth individuals and sovereign wealth funds.

Shopoff Realty sells two office condos in southern California

Shopoff Realty Investments, a national manager of opportunistic and value-added real estate investments, has announced the sale of two office condos in its Waypoint Newport project, located at 4440 Von Karman Ave. in Koll Center Newport. The project is one of the first office condo conversion projects in the area. A Street Partners brokered the sale, which included Suite 270 (1,579 square feet) and Suite 340 (1,127 square feet) on behalf of Shopoff to two individual buyers.

$4b spent on U.S. clean-energy investments in February
