Platte Canyon Capital launches to acquire value-add multifamily investments with $30m institutional commitment from Inceptiv

Real estate investment professionals Brennen Degner and Paul Pittman have launched Platte Canyon Capital (PCC), a private real estate investment firm with $30 million in GP capital from funds managed by private equity firm Inceptiv to invest in middle-market multifamily value-added opportunities. 

Annual Southeast and Greater London office take up highest since 2019

Office take up across the South East and Greater London markets in 2024 was the highest in five years, according to Knight Frank. Leasing volumes totaled 3.6 million square feet, 5 percent higher than last year, driven by occupiers gravitating towards the region’s newest, prime workspaces.

Office REITs remain on the downturn, but may see hope with international returning-to-office trends

The poor performance of office REITs is holding down the recovery pace for the real estate sector, according to the S&P Global Ratings 2025 Real Estate Industry Outlook. With a negative rating, leverage for U.S. office REITs is still elevated compared to other property types. Material improvement is unlikely, due to low utilization and poor tenant retention.
