Investor views on the multifamily sector

As homeownership became increasingly expensive on the heels of the pandemic and numerous interest-rate hikes, more and more people have turned to renting. What are institutional investors’ main concerns about the multifamily residential sector globally? What do property fundamentals look like for the multifamily sector, and what investment strategies should institutional investors consider when assessing opportunities for their portfolios?

These and other questions on the multi­family sector were addressed in a 21 February virtual roundtable with institutional investors and investment managers.
