TMRS commits $100m to WCP’s third cold storage fund

Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) has committed $100 million to WCP NewCold III, a vehicle of Westport Capital Partners. This commitment was made on Sept. 16, according to TMRS’s 2024 completed investments report.

WCP NewCold III is an opportunistic closed-end fund that plans to develop a pipeline of 31 cold storage warehouses globally. A fundraising goal has not yet been disclosed. This commitment follows the State Board of Administration of Florida’s commitment and the New York State Common Retirement Fund’s commitment in November.
