Austin-based Virtus Real Estate Capital, a private real estate investment firm exclusively focused on cycle-resilient property types, has appointed Christy Gahr as managing director.
Gahr previously worked as a principal at Meketa Investment Group, where she oversaw the firm’s real estate investments, managed discretionary and non-discretionary real estate mandates, and supported the firm’s general consulting practice.
As managing director at Virtus, Gahr will provide leadership and strategic direction as it pertains to supporting the firm’s institutional relationships.
“We are thrilled to have Christy joining Virtus,” said Terrell Gates, founder and CEO of Virtus. “Her experience as a leading institutional investor and consultant will provide a valuable and diverse perspective. The addition of Christy reflects the firm’s larger mandate to thoughtfully evolve to meet the needs of our clients regardless of the economic environment.”
