Raphael Arndt, former CIO for the Australian Government Future Fund, has been promoted to CEO, following a global search process.
Arndt joined the Future Fund, Australia’s independently managed sovereign wealth fund, in 2008, serving as head of infrastructure and timberland. In 2014, he was appointed to his role of CIO.
Prior to joining the Future Fund, Arndt was the investment director at Hastings Funds Management and also has held infrastructure policy positions with both the private sector and the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance.
Arndt began his career as an engineer working with Ove Arup & Partners and holds engineering and economics degrees and a PhD from the University of Melbourne.
