Asia Pacific’s (APAC) data center development pipeline reached a record 26.5 gigawatts in first half 2026. The region added 7.1 gigawatts in just six months, marking one of the strongest half-year gains on record as hyperscalers, cloud providers and artificial intelligence (AI) platforms accelerated infrastructure investment across the region.
According to Cushman & Wakefield’s APAC Data Centre H1 2026 Update, the region’s development pipeline now comprises 4.8 gigawatts under-construction and 21.7 gigawatts in planned capacity. Approximately 1.4 gigawatts of operational capacity was also delivered across APAC, highlighting the market’s ability to bring new supply online at scale while keeping pace with rapidly growing digital infrastructure requirements.
