The rebuild or retrofit question facing real estate interests

The World Green Building Council estimates 80 percent of the buildings in use in 2050 are already standing, which implies real estate investors and managers are inclined to retrofit buildings containing good skeletons and foundations, for both environmental and financial reasons.
