Tom Parker is executive vice president and publisher for Institutional Real Estate, Inc. Tom manages IREI’s sales team of regional and global managing directors, and develops new sales strategies aligned with company goals. He brings more than 15 years of sales and sales management experience, in addition to an impressive background in leadership and team development.
Prior to joining IREI, Tom was director of sales for The Seattle Times,where he managed sales teams on both the national and local levels. He also developed new strategic business initiatives that not only helped his team exceed its goals, but also won him recognition, such as Salesman of the Quarter and Partner of the Year. Tom also won multiple performance awards when he was with Dex Media/Supermedia, where he served as acting director of sales and previously held other roles in sales, sales management, sales effectiveness management and training.
Before his career in sales and sales management, Tom spent 15 years in law enforcement, in various leadership positions, with assignments in patrol, traffic, motorcycle unit, training, SWAT, internal affairs and administration.
