Through the first nine months of the year, FundTracker has logged 52 fund closings that raised a total of $39.8 billion. Although substantially lower than the $118.8 billion raised during the first three quarters of 2008, this year's figure is significantly better than 2009's anemic nine-month total of $31.2 billion.
