Rockspring Acquires Retail Asset in Poland

by

Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP, on behalf of its TransEuropean Property LP IV, has purchased the Ferio Shopping Centre in Konin, Poland, for €47 million. The seller was Raiffeisen Evolution. The 30,000-square-metre property opened in 2008.

“This transaction marks Rockspring’s re-entry into Poland, a market which has shown real resilience, being the only European economy to avoid recession during the recent downturn,” says Paul Hampton, head of fund management with Rockspring. “While the main strategy is to manage and leverage a secure and long-term cashflow from the centre, there is an opportunity to improve this scheme and bring it to maturity.”
