The second quarter of 2026 was a mixed — but ultimately resilient — quarter for Asia Pacific real estate securities, with the GPR/APREA Composite Index’s total return performances being 7.17 percent in April 2026, –3.18 percent in May 2026 and –3.86 percent in June 2026, respectively. The sector was less about a broad rally and more about winners and laggards having a level playing field. Although Asia Pacific real estate securities finished the quarter only 0.24 percent lower, they sharply underperformed general equities, which returned 21.54 percent.
