Let’s get practical: Turning sustainability promises into real-world results

As markets have matured, investors are increasingly seeking evidence that sustainability efforts by real estate managers are leading to meaningful, real-world outcomes. Sustainability performance is also under mounting public and regulatory scrutiny, pushing organisations beyond simple disclosure.

We know that a focus on measurable performance supports demonstrable sustainable and financial outcomes across at least three dimensions.

Firstly, more efficient assets reduce operational costs and resource use. A study by the World Economic Forum and PwC demonstrated energy savings and efficiency measures could deliver up to US$2 trillion in annual savings. It also found these measures could reduce energy intensity by up to 31 percent if implemented by 2030.
