HUKPUT Buys UK Properties

Henderson UK Property Unit Trust (HUKPUT), sponsored by Henderson Global Investors, has invested nearly £55 million (€62.8 million) in UK properties.

HUKPUT acquired an office building in Manchester for £24.4 million (€27.9 million) from a private investor. The 6,100-square-metre Zenith office building, formerly known as The Post Office Building, is located in Manchester’s CBD. The property is 60 percent let, with rental guarantees for the vacant space; tenants include Cushman & Wakefield and Zolfo Cooper.

In addition, HUKPUT has acquired BMI Harbour Hospital in Poole for £23 million (€26.3 million), its first acquisition in the medical property sector. And the fund acquired a car dealer
