CBREGI Buys Retail in France

CBRE Global Investors (CBREGI), on behalf of its European Shopping Centre Fund (ECSF), has acquired Centre Commercial Boissénart, an 11,450-square-metre shopping centre in Cesson – Savigny le Temple for €68 million. The property was sold by Klépierre.

“We can now look back to a successful first year in operation for ESCF. We have received strong investor support, sourced solid investment opportunities delivering positive returns and achieved exposure to target markets of Sweden, Belgium and France,” says Florencio Beccar, ECSF fund manager.

This is the fund’s first acquisition in France. The closed-end fund was launched in December 2010 and has raised €220 million in equity commitments and has assets under management of more than €260 million.
