Atrium Buys Warsaw Shopping Centre for €169.5 Million

Atrium European Real Estate, a real estate company focused on central and eastern Europe, has acquired a shopping centre in Poland for €169.5 million, plus an additional €1.5 million on recovery by Atrium of a value-added tax refund. The Promenada Shopping Centre, located in Warsaw, was sold by Carpathian Plc.

Promenada includes 41,778 square metres of retail space, as well as 12,062 square metres of office space. Tenants include Agent Provocateur, Benetton, Electroworld, Empik, Go Sport, H&M, Lacoste, Liu Jo, Max Mara, Versace and Zara. The property also includes a 4,030-square-metre Alma supermarket and a 6,600-square-metre Cinema-City.

Carpathian acquired the property in two phases in 2006 and 2009 from Savana Torrido Investments and Poldrim Torrido Investments, respectively, for a combined investment of €144.5 mill
