Connecticut-based Westport Capital Partners has raised $1.26 billion for its value-add WCP NewCold II fund, according to a recent SEC filing.
WCP NewCold II opened to investors in December 2020 with an equity fundraising target of $1.3 billion. The fund will invest in logistics properties globally, mainly located throughout Australia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and the United Kingdom.
Westport Capital Partners is a private real estate investment firm focused on long-term value creation through investments in select properties, operating companies, securities and other real estate–related assets. As of Dec. 31, 2020, Westport and its affiliates managed $2.6 billion of assets on behalf of U.S. and foreign institutional investors, according to the firm’s website.
