While extreme weather has made property investors more keenly aware of the need for asset resilience and real estate’s role in contributing to the climate crisis, the effects of the pandemic on our collective psyche made how people want and need to interact with the built environment take a leap forward with respect to issues of sustainability. For investors that do not wish to be left with stranded assets, “going green” is the best option — and can prove cost effective.
