STACK Infrastructure, a global data center developer and operator backed by Blue Owl Capital, has been chosen to deliver the digital infrastructure for the planned Stargate campus in Doña Ana County, New Mexico.
OpenAI, Oracle and SoftBank recently announced five new U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) data center sites under Stargate, OpenAI’s overarching AI infrastructure platform. The three new sites – located in Shackelford County, Texas; Doña Ana County, New Mexico; and a site in the Midwest – are expected to deliver an expansion of 600 megawatts near the flagship Stargate site and more than 5.5 gigawatts of capacity.
In July, OpenAI and Oracle entered an agreement to develop up to 4.5 gigawatts of additional Stargate capacity, representing a partnership exceeding $300 billion between the two companies throughout the next five years.
