The Spokane (Wash.) Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) has retained Hyas Group as its investment consultant, a spokesperson for the pension fund confirmed in an email.
Hyas has been the plan’s consultant since 2008. An RFP was launched in May seeking investment consulting services. There were five respondents to the RFP and Hyas was selected without conducting finalist interviews, according to Phillip Tencick, CFA, retirement director for the city of Spokane.
The scope of services will cover five years and will include an asset-allocation study; manager searches; ongoing consulting services; quarterly and annual investment performance reports; quarterly onsite performance presentations to the board; annual review of investment policies; quantitative and qualitative analysis of investment strategies as needed; occasional meetings with the investment commi
