South Carolina PEBA contributes $50m to Asana Partners Fund III

The South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) has made a follow-on commitment of $50 million to Asana Partners Fund III, contributing to the vehicle’s final close in March.

Asana Partners Fund III, managed by Asana Partners, concluded fundraising with $1.5 billion of equity commitments, reaching its hard cap within six months of beginning the marketing process.

The investor base consisted of a diverse group of institutional investors from North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Recent investors include the Indiana Public Retirement System, the Orange County Employees Retirement System and the New York State Common Retirement Fund.

Asana Partners Fund III is focused on acquiring and repositioning mixed-use assets in high-quality urban and near-urban neighborhoods in the United States. PEBA previously invested $75 million in Fund II in 2018.
