SL Green Realty is considering selling the Art Deco “News Building” at 220 East 42nd St. in Midtown Manhattan with a $1 billion price tag, according to The Real Deal.
Built in 1920 as the headquarters of the New York Daily News, the building stands 476 feet high with 1.2 million square feet.
SL Green bought the 37-story tower for $265 million in 2003.
