San Francisco Employees makes $160m of real asset commitments

by Lewis Dayton

The San Francisco Employees Retirement System (SFERS) has committed $80 million to Partners Solutions/S Joint Venture, a real estate investment with Crow Holdings.

This is SFERS’s third investment with the Dallas-based real estate firm.

SFERS has also made a commitment of $80 million to Sustainable Asset Fund IV (SAF IV), of which $57.55 million closed on Dec. 27, 2023.

SAF IV is managed by Vision Ridge Partners and will seek to make investments in infrastructure assets in the transportation, agriculture and energy sectors, such as in charging infrastructure, commercial vehicle electrification, maritime electrification, water infrastructure, energy transition, energy storage and renewable natural gas opportunities.

15.3 percent ($5.28 billion) of SFERS’s $34.6 billion portfolio is directed toward real assets.
