Philippe Lapointe joins Clarion Partners as managing director and assistant portfolio manager

Philippe Lapointe has joined Clarion Partners as a managing director and assistant portfolio manager for Clarion’s open-end multifamily fund, sharing in management responsibilities for the fund and contributing to the firm’s overarching housing strategy.

Prior to joining Clarion, Lapointe served as president of publicly traded Canada-based H&R REIT, where he founded and built its U.S. subsidiary (Lantower Residential) into a well-respected multifamily platform. During his tenure, Lantower Residential acquired more than 6,500 class A apartments across the U.S. Southeast, created an in-house property management company, and built a vertically integrated development team responsible for a ground-up development pipeline of more than 2,500 additional class A apartments.
