Office occupancy in Paris, Madrid and Stockholm close to pre-pandemic average

Paris CBD, Madrid and Stockholm lead the “return to the office” in Europe with office occupancy figures of 66 percent, 65 percent and 60 percent, respectively, which are close to the pre-pandemic European average of 70 percent, according to Savills.

Prague has recorded the largest increase in office occupancy rates, rising by 16 percentage points to 54 percent between June 2022 and February 2023, followed by Dublin, which recorded a 15 percentage point increase to 56 percent. London West End (50 percent), London City (48 percent) and Warsaw (46 percent) recorded the lowest rates, but occupancy has risen significantly in all three since the previous summer.

Average occupancy rates across the continent’s offices increased from 43 percent to 55 percent in the same period, a 12 percentage point rise, according to Savills.
