NYSCRF commits $900m to real estate vehicles in March

The New York State Common Retirement Fund (NYSCRF) has committed $900 million to real estate vehicles in March, according to meeting materials.

GID Mainstay In-Kind Fund, a strategy of GID Multifamily Investment Management, received $300 million. The open-end fund seeks to invest in class B multifamily properties across the United States. A fundraising target has not been disclosed.

Asana Partners Fund IV, a program of Asana Partners, received $200 million. The closed-end fund has a fundraising goal of $1.5 billion. It invests in value-add neighborhood centers and mixed-use properties in urban and urban adjacent areas in the United States. Asana Partners III, its predecessor, closed with $1.5 billion in equity raised in 2022.
