Mall foot traffic bounces back in June

Mall foot traffic is bouncing back after a rough start to the year, suggesting a retail recovery is taking place, according to data by Placer.ai’s Mall Index titled Placer.ai Mall Index June 2023 Recap - A Turn of the Tide and a Dive into Open-Air Lifestyle Centers.

After four straight months of year-over-year (visit declines, indoor malls, open-air lifestyle centers, and outlet malls all saw their y-o-y visits rebound significantly in June 2023.
