Legal & General Capital (LGC), a clean-energy transition investor and the alternative investment arm of Legal & General Group, has invested £12.5 million ($15.5 million) across three companies as part of its commitment to decarbonize the U.K. residential sector.
The companies include Cambridge Electric Cement (CEC); a company that uses a pioneering approach to decarbonize cement production; Hometree, a residential services challenger brand supporting the full lifecycle of sustainable home improvements; and SunRoof, a Swedish provider of building integrated PV roofs. LGC also increased its existing investment in Sero Technologies, an energy technology and services company supporting the transition to net zero across the residential housing sector.
LGC said these partnerships demonstrate the breadth of its investments into decarbonizing residential real estate, from reducing construction emissions to offering the technology and support needed to retrofit existin
