U.K. commercial real estate investments produced a negative return of -0.2 percent in January from a month earlier, taking the annual return to -11.6 percent, according to the UK Monthly Property Index compiled by MSCI.
Investment returns combine the capital return for properties (i.e., the change in valuations) plus their income return. The index is based on the performance of 1,593 properties with a total capital value of £29.9 billion (€33.9 billion/$36.5 billion).
