European pension funds anticipate dramatic increase of investments in long-income property

Institutional pension fund investors say expected long-term performance is the thing they find most attractive about long-income properties, according to a new study by Alpha Real Capital, a specialist manager of long-income assets.

The firm also found that 84 percent of professional investors believe the level of investment in long-income property from pension funds will rise over the next two years, with 20 percent anticipating a “dramatic” increase.

Alpha surveyed 125 institutional pension fund investors across the United Kingdom, Ireland and Continental Europe.

Those surveyed value risk management the most in a long-income manager, followed by performance track record, competitive fees and origination capability.
