EQT has appointed David Kim as partner and head of real estate, South Korea, effective immediately. Based in Seoul, Kim will be responsible for leading EQT’s real estate investment strategy and operations in South Korea.
Prior to joining EQT, Kim was the CEO of DHK Management, a real estate investment and advisory firm he founded in 2012 focused on opportunistic real estate investments in South Korea. Before founding DHK Management, Kim was the head of pan-Asian real estate and managing director at Shinsei Bank, where he created the bank’s Asia ex-Japan real estate special situations investment platform to invest across all areas of the capital structure in various asset classes. He previously held investment and business development positions at financial services and technology firms in the United States.
