EG acquires office asset near Melbourne, Australia

EG has acquired 675 Victoria St., an office asset in Abbotsford, Australia, for A$27.3 million ($21.4 million) for the Yield Plus Infrastructure No. 2 Fund.

“The office asset is well-located in a high-quality precinct that has experienced gentrification and significant renewal in recent years, with direct access to The Main Yarra Trail, trams, Victoria Gardens Shopping Center and various retail offerings throughout Abbotsford, ” said Sean Fleming, EG’s head of capital transactions. “The property is well-suited to EG’s Yield Plus Infrastructure No. 2 strategy, which seeks to acquire assets within close proximity to new and existing infrastructure.”

The fully leased property located approximately 3 kilometers (1.9 miles) east of the Melbourne CBD, was extensively refurbished in 2009.
