The Davis Companies seeks $950m for latest value-add investment vehicle

The Davis Companies has launched a fifth value-add vehicle, targeting $950 million of equity commitments.

IREI understands the Davis Investment Ventures Fund V will follow the strategy of the previous fund by investing in life sciences, industrial, multifamily and self-storage properties. The fund series also looks for opportunities to take advantage of distress, primarily through debt investments.

The Davis Companies funds focus on acquiring assets below their intrinsic value, according to the firm’s website. Investing is concentrated in the Northeast U.S. across property types.  The firm acquires properties directly or in joint ventures with other operating partners or capital partners.
