CIM Group sells 1,180-unit Mason apartment community in Alexandria, Va.

CIM Group has sold Mason at Van Dorn, a 1,180-unit apartment community consisting of 14 four- and five-story buildings across about 25 acres in Alexandria, Va. CIM Group acquired the community in December 2017.

The buyers are Shoreham Capital, a privately held real estate firm, in partnership with Bridge Investment Group. The $157 million financing was arranged by Berkadia

through Fannie Mae.

Located at 140 S. Van Dorn St., Mason at Van Dorn provides residents spacious homes in a range of floor plans from studio to two-bedroom configurations. The property features an on-site convenience store and deli as well as two resort-style swimming pools, tennis courts, barbeque and picnic areas, and other outdoor-gathering and recreation areas.
