Chicago pension fund searches for new executive director

The Municipal Employees' Officers’ and Officials’ Annuity & Benefit Fund of Chicago (MEABF) has launched a search for a new executive director.

Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with pension fund investment structures. They also must have experience at the executive level in pension fund administration and fiduciary obligations, including asset management. IREI understands the pension fund is currently in the process of evaluating submissions.

MEABF, which had a market value of $3.3 billion as of January, invests in real assets to enhance the investment portfolio return. The real assets portfolio invests in U.S. and non-U.S. private and public market real assets structures and categories, including real estate and infrastructure. Investment structures within these categories include open- and closed-end commingled funds, partnerships, limited liability companies and secondary investments.
