Canadian investors are growing their presence in the Asia Pacific commercial real estate market.
Canadian investors’ real estate transactions in Korea from 2016 to 2020 totaled $3.5 billion, according to The Korea Herald. The figure was 12.4 times higher than it was during the previous five-year period, from 2011 to 2015, showing the sharpest uptrend among all Asia Pacific countries.
Korea outpaced India, whose deal activities between 2016 and 2020 jumped seven times to $5 billion, compared with the previous five years. China, which was the third-fastest, saw its real estate transactions from 2016 to 2020 reach $3 billion, up twofold from the 2011–2015 period.
