Brookfield, through its real estate strategy, has acquired a diversified portfolio of 50 multifamily residential assets in Japan’s major gateway cities.
The portfolio comprises approximately 3,700 residential units located in Japan’s four largest metropolitan markets: Fukuoka, Greater Osaka, Greater Tokyo and Nagoya. The transaction is expected to be one of the largest acquisitions of multifamily assets in Japan in 2026 and provides Brookfield with immediate scale in a sector where it has extensive global expertise and a strong track record.
