BNP Paribas REIM has launched Healthcare Property Fund Europe (HPF Europe) in first half 2020 with initial equity commitments close to €200 million ($226 million).
The current group of investors consists of pension funds and insurance companies from France, Germany and Italy, and new investors are already expected to join at latter closings in the third and fourth quarters.
The fund focuses on healthcare properties across all segments (short, medium and long stay) in the key euro zone countries. In the next couple years, HPF Europe expects to reach a gross asset value in excess of €1 billion ($1.1 billion) with a unique exposure to nursing homes, clinics and rehab facilities.
