BlackRock Real Estate, through funds and accounts managed for its clients, and Kauri CAB Digital Infrastructure GmbH, a Frankfurt-headquartered data center developer platform, announced the acquisition of a strategically located land plot in Karben Rendel in the Frankfurt, Germany, region.
In close collaboration with the City of Karben, the new joint venture successfully aligned and adjusted the applicable zoning framework to accommodate the intended data center use. A building permit application was formally submitted in December 2025, marking a significant milestone in the project’s advancement and reflecting the constructive partnership established with local municipal authorities. The start of construction is targeted for third quarter 2026. A grid-connection agreement secures 50 mega volt amperes (MVA) of dedicated capacity, with full power delivery committed for second quarter 2027.
