BlackRock announces slew of leadership appointments in Asia

BlackRock has bolstered its presence in Asia with a number of recent appointments.

The world's largest asset manager appointed Susan Chan as head of Asia Pacific, and Andrew Landman and Hiroyuki Shimizu as deputy heads. In addition, James Raby was named COO, Hua Fan named head of China, and Jim Zhang was appointed general manager of BlackRock CCB Wealth Management.

Chan, who holds more than three decades of experience in financial services and asset management industries, succeeds Rachel Lord, who relocates to London and takes on the role of BlackRock’s head of international. Chan has played various leadership roles in capital markets, trading, investments and client business during her tenure of more than 10 years at BlackRock, which includes leading the ETF and Index Investing business, managing the trading, liquidity and securities lending team, and overseeing the sustainable and transition investing group.
