Australia Post plans A$400m logistics portfolio sale-leaseback

Australia Post plans to sell approximately A$400 million ($277 million) of logistics assets through a sale-leaseback of seven properties across southeast Queensland, Sydney and Adelaide, in one of the largest industrial portfolio deals of the year, according to The Australian.

Separately, the 44-room Country Motel Ipswich in Queensland sold for a record $19.5 million to David Toomey’s Deltine High Yield Motel Fund, marking the highest price and per-room value achieved for a non-coastal motel in Australia.

“We’re reshaping our property portfolio by repurposing or selling sites where capital can be better invested to expand capacity, improve efficiency and enhance service offerings, allowing us to compete in the rapidly evolving ecommerce landscape,” an Australia Post spokesperson told
