Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI), with the help of Square Mile Farms, has installed a vertical, hydroponic farm at The Hub, a private rental housing scheme in Harrow, a large town in Greater London.
The Harrow Hub Residents’ Farm is believed to be the first of its kind in the United Kingdom. According to ASI, this move is a sign of its ambition to set the benchmark in the booming shared-living sector, while embracing high environmental standards. As well as fitness facilities, a café and workspace, The Hub, which is leased and managed by JLL, now has its very own herb and vegetable supply.
