The Australian farmland total annualized return since inception, from March 31, 2015 to June 30, 2024, was 10.61 percent with contributions from income return of 5.05 percent and capital growth of 5.39 percent, according to the latest quarterly Australian Farmland Index Second Quarter 2024 compiled by the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV). On a quarter-on-quarter basis, income returns of 0.77 percent and capital growth of -0.28 percent led to a total return of 0.49 percent for second quarter 2024.
The last five years recorded a total annualized return of 7.49 percent comprising income return of 4.19 percent and capital growth of 3.19 percent. The last three years recorded a total annualized return of 3.40 percent comprising income return of 2.32 percent and capital growth of 1.05 percent.
