ANREV: Australian farmland registers total annualized return of 13.13%

Australian farmland’s total annualized return since inception, from March 2015 to Sept. 30, 2022, was 13.13 percent. Contributions from income returned 6.21 percent and capital growth returned 6.63 percent, according to the latest quarterly Australian Farmland Index Q3 2022 compiled by the Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV). On a quarter-by-quarter basis, positive income returns of 0.69 percent and capital growth of negative 0.59 percent led to a total return of 0.10 percent for third quarter 2022.

The past five years recorded a total annualized return of 12.50 percent, comprising income return of 6.00 percent and capital growth of 6.22 percent. The past three years recorded a total annualized return of 11.80 percent, comprising income return of 6.32 percent and capital growth of 5.22 percent.
