Mike Consol is senior editor of Real Assets Adviser, one of seven titles published by Institutional Real Estate, Inc. (IREI), and is responsible for the magazine’s editorial content and production. He has been a professional journalist since 1983 and has spent almost his entire career working for business publications. Mike joined IREI in 2012 as editor of Institutional Real Estate Americas. Prior to IREI, he spent 17 years with American City Business Journals, the nation’s largest publisher of metropolitan business journals with 40 weekly newspapers across the United States. While at ACBJ, he held editor and publisher roles at the Portland Business Journal, East Bay Business Times and San Francisco Business Times. He was also the company’s first-ever writing and reporting coach. Prior to ACBJ, he was managing editor of the Los Angeles Business Journal, as well as news editor of the Pasadena Star-News. Mike, a native of upstate New York, earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Arizona State University.

Brian Jones is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager within the Real Estate Securities Group at Neuberger.
Brian began his career in REIT investing working at UBS Securities as an associate following the REIT sector.
After five years with UBS Brian moved over to Neuberger in 1999, initially working in the research department and eventually joining REIT investment team at Neuberger in 2002. Brian found a home in REIT investing at Neuberger and by 2008 achieved the roll of Portfolio Manager and became a Managing Director in 2014.
Brian serves on the board of directors for the Neuberger Charitable Foundation, the firm’s foundation focused on helping at risk children and youth.
Brian received a BA from Harvard University. He was also awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
John Worth

Nareit
John D. Worth is the Executive Vice President for Research and Investor Outreach at Nareit, where he leads Nareit’s internal and external research efforts and directs Nareit’s investor outreach and education initiatives. Prior to joining Nareit, Worth founded the Office of the Chief Economist of the National Credit Union Administration, spent nearly a decade at the U.S. Treasury where he served as the Director of the Office of Microeconomic Analysis and served as Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Microeconomics, and worked as a consultant for Welch Consulting and the RAND Corporation. He is a graduate of George Washington University and holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Southern California.
