Maryland-based KG Growth Partners is exploring the conversion of a former Bloomingdale’s space at a shuttered downtown San Francisco mall into an AI data center and mixed-use property, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
No formal development application has been submitted, and details about the project’s financing, power requirements and prospective operators have not been announced.
The proposed conversion would represent a potential alternative use for the struggling property as demand for AI-related infrastructure increases.
