Gaw Capital plans to list a new real estate private debt fund on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to Reuters, citing a draft listing document.
The Gaw Capital Real Estate Private Debt OFC will invest in private loans backed by real estate assets across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, including Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea. The fund plans to invest at least 90 percent of its assets in property-related debt, including senior loans, construction loans and other secured financing.
The fund is designed to give investors access to real estate debt investments that are typically available through private funds and will target regular quarterly distributions and long-term capital appreciation. The vehicle will be permitted to borrow up to 30 percent of its net asset value.
