When Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) — the world’s largest contract chipmaker — announced its Phoenix fabrication complex, it set off a chain reaction across Arizona’s industrial market. The data tells the story: As of the end of 2025, semiconductor-related companies have absorbed nearly 22.1 million square feet of industrial space and created 14,334 jobs across metro Phoenix, according to the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC).
And that’s not only in Deer Valley around the fab. It’s actually distributed throughout the entire metro — Casa Grande, Buckeye, Mesa, Scottsdale and Tempe.
