JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group has sold Tabacón Thermal Resort & Spa, Costa Rica’s most iconic luxury wellness destination, located in the La Fortuna region, for $111 million.
JLL represented the seller in the sale to Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality.
The asset spans approximately 570 acres of rainforest at the base of the Arenal volcano, one of the world’s most popular eco-tourism destinations. The offering includes the 105-room Tabacón Hotel and Tabacón Hot Springs, Costa Rica’s largest network of naturally flowing thermal mineral springs.
The resort features luxuriously appointed guestrooms and suites crafted with rich handicrafts and furnishings by Costa Rican artisans. Accommodations range from 376-square-foot Orchid Rooms to expansive 2,530-square-foot two-bedroom Arenal Suites, all offering spectacular rainforest and volcano views.
The centerpiece amenity is the resort’s extensive network of thermal pools and waterfalls. T
