The $76 billion Alaska Permanent Fund Corp. (APFC) has disclosed $265 million of commitments and investments on behalf of its real estate portfolio.
The sovereign wealth fund added $100 million to the Mellon MSCI US REIT account, a free float-adjusted market capitalization weighted index that is composed of equity REITs.
APFC also purchased the Baylor Sports Medicine Complex in Frisco, Texas for $165 million. The complex is an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International. Physicians hold an ownership or investment interest in the hospital.
